Sense Of Humour? Is It?

Have you ever crushed people’s dreams?

You would probably say ‘No’.

Then, I’ll ask again! (And think before you answer)

Have you ever made someone not follow their dreams?

You might still say ‘No’.

Alright! I’d rather now put it this way.

Have you ever said things like these to someone,

You are so dumb’, or, ‘You can’t do it’, or, ‘You know nothing’, or, ‘You are useless’, or, ‘You are a problem’, or, ‘You are so weird’, or, just laughed at them and carelessly said and done things like that?

You must have said or done at least one or more things from the list.

Well, if you still believe you haven’t ever done so, or that you said something along these lines and then realized your mistake and apologized, then, you’re on the path of living a fulfilling life.

But,

If you are one of those who have bluntly conveyed these harsh words to even a single soul, I guess, you’re never going to come out of the struggles of life.

You’re bound and MEANT to stay stuck. Working hard will never get you fulfillment, until you remove this tiny but major hindrance from your path.

‘Tiny’, because all you have to do is become ‘thoughtful’ with your words, it’s easy!

And ‘Major’ because else it will always keep you in a rat race.

My words might be feeling like a needle on your body, but it’s true, and, most often in life, truth hurts.

Or, you might be wondering, ‘Gosh, what is up with her sense of humour? She must be someone who can’t take a joke or surpass a simple remark?’.

Well, I have a question then!

What do you think ‘Sense of humour’ is?

Ability to perceive a joke, right?

You know what ‘Sense of humour’ in real sense is?

It’s the ability to perceive a joke in the smallest of things, in your struggles and pains, and, in the wonders of life.

  • It is NOT the ability to perceive a joke in people.
  • It is NOT the ability to perceive a joke in someone’s capabilities.
  • It is NOT the ability to perceive a joke in someone’s aspirations and dreams.

“Sense of humour in the real sense is NOT ‘making fun of people’,

Sense of humour is about ‘making fun of life’.”

And when you do that, life becomes a smooth path for you, life becomes a piece of cake.

This life becomes too tiny for you and ends up leaving you with a ‘big’ sense of self.

That’s what I call a great ‘Sense of humour’!

If you ever perceived jokes in people,

    • You probably have contributed to the scars of many.
    • You probably have disturbed their journey towards their true purpose.
    • You probably have distracted them from the dreams their self is conveying repeatedly, and they are shushing it.

They are shushing their self, because for them your presence is more vivid than the presence of their self’s.

Their ‘self’ is crying out a voice inside and they shush it, because you told them ‘they are stupid’, so they stopped believing in their ‘self’.

They do not walk on the path their self is directing them to take.

They are probably busy running after money.

    Why money?

Well, doesn’t money define our ‘sense of self’ or ‘worth’ nowadays?

So, they are just after the same thing their self is, but they believe money will get them what you took away from them. Their ‘Self’.

Now, this is where I perceive a joke.

Imagine, they are constantly in search of their self, just like you are, and their self is constantly trying to get in touch with them, just like yours, BUT, “YOU” told them their self is dumb, so they discarded their self, and now running after money thinking they will meet their self.

Thinking, they will finally feel fulfilled. And they never do.

You probably have turned their life into a joke, and then call it,

    “Sense of Humour”.

And, with this definition of ‘Sense of humour’, you have probably crushed so many dreams.

If you’re running after yours, do you think you’re ever going to achieve them?

After crushing so many selfs, will your self ever forgive you?

You might still be able to earn money, you might still get fame, but, ‘Fulfillment’ is the gift that comes naturally from your divine self when you both are on the same page, and, with this sense of humour, you’re only moving in the opposite direction.

“Your money and fame will wither some day, and so will your body, and there you will be, back on earth, in a new body, with new desires, a new face, a new drama, with more struggles assigned to your new life, and you will stay stuck in this vicious cycle called life.”

Now that’s where I perceive some real ‘Sense of humour’.
