“She is purely a work of art, Jason. You’d say the same if you had seen her in that saree, satiny and so silky, crimson-like carandas were those red lips. Have you ever seen a betta fish, Jason, she looked just that, a flowing scarlet betta, wagging her fins all over the place…
…And it’s torment to see her like this, in that miniature bowl, she doesn’t belong there Jason, she just doesn’t belong at a place where she is so bluntly overlooked, so wrongly interpreted, she belongs to the wild sea, nothing less. A work of art is a work of art Jason, it doesn’t belong around the poor, those who can’t afford to maintain its beauty, its purity, such poor souls, they don’t even know what they have as yet, but they will, soon they will Jason…
…I’ll take her out to the wild sea, and the world will see what they could not measure well. Their own minds misled them. But all is for good because she is priceless Jason, she is a wonder of the cosmic.”
“Well, I haven’t heard an explanation of a woman like that Mr. Blue, I must confess you have a thing with words. Are you also a poet or a philosopher by any chance?”, I said.
“Not at all my friend, not at all. This woman has the power to turn any man into a poet. If only, she realizes her power, and soon enough she will. The entire world will witness. I’m taking her there.”
“Well, then I must meet your lady, Mr. Blue, please facilitate an introduction, I’d be honored to even come near to such a soul.”
“Sure one day, Jason.”
“Great Mr. Blue”.
And then, he escaped to her lady. His body was still there, he wasn’t. He, in his engrossment, was staring at his tilted glass in which a dance of amber and gold was catching the soft light of the saloon.
I wondered at the sight and more than that, I wondered what his lady must look like. The profound description he just framed would make anyone keen to get acquainted with her.
“If you don’t mind Mr. Blue, may I ask you something?”
“Sure Jason, ask away?”
“You said you’ll take her to the wild sea, what do you mean by that statement?”
“As it explains, Jason. The wild sea is where big dangerous sea animals dwell. She belongs there, she is a sword that will cut them all, only once she is completely sharpened.”
“Sharpened?”
“Yes! You see Jason, a diamond, where does it come from? Have you a clue?”
“It comes from coal I believe?”
“Funny how this world believes in everything they hear. Diamonds do not come from coal, Diamonds are a gift of nature, an embellishment that is created in the darkest areas of the land. But this is indeed the truth that they go through the severity of the temperatures to become the most unaffordable jewel. Just like the lady you heard about from me…
…She is being sharpened, she is under the severity of temperatures right now. Just like a diamond, she is in hell, around the darkness, inside and out, but soon she will be prepared and ready to shine, with her love, she will be able to break the most concrete hearts in the world…
“The most whetted sword would be nothing in front of her words.”
His description made me feel intimidated a bit. Either, he has a tendency to exaggerate or I’m going to come across something divine. How can a woman be like that? Women and divinity together do not ring a bell, rather the opposite. In the stories, it is alright, but acceptance of such women in society is quite scary to even think.
“What happened Jason, you seem a little perturbed?”
“Mr. Blue, it is quite uncomfortable to hear what you just said. A woman like a sword? Wouldn’t the ego and respect of all men be in danger by your lady?”
“Ego, indeed, respect, no way! If you love someone, would you not respect them, answer that?”
“Of course, Mr. Blue, but you just said, she will cut like a sword, what do you mean by that?”
“My dear Jason, you’re just another blind, influenced soul, driven by your ego. What do you know…
“Do you think these man-made weapons are the most powerful?
‘Love’ is the most powerful weapon of all.”
…Love can cut the hardest of rocks and who is in danger in the shadow of love, you fool?”
“Love…words will cut like a sword…she will cut animals, it is all too confusing to me Mr. Blue.”
“Well Jason, I guess it’s time for me to leave, everything I just said will make sense one day, so wait for the time to reveal its mysteries. Goodbye!”
I was scared and enthralled at the same time by what he just said.
But what can I do anyway until time explains the terrain of information I just got uploaded with. It felt as if a tornado shook my ego a bit. A bit because the mention of love carried my heart afterward.
Well, I can’t say for sure, what Mr. Blue really meant, but since he is someone I always felt most secure with, I feel, nothing of that sort would happen that just created these delusional emotions in my mind.
If his lady is really a wonder of cosmic, I don’t think it would be something to worry about, rather, to prepare for the welcome of our new happy lives.
Rest, time shall reveal its mysteries!
